Karen Testerman took the prize, with 70.64% of the vote. Governor Sununu came in second with 18.31%. Nobody took third with 6.74%, and South Dakota Governor Kirsti Noem collected 4.32%.
When incumbent Governor Sununu went off the rails in March and suspended our Constitution and Bill of Rights, many liberty folks became seriously concerned. Sununu used unconstitutional powers “granted” him by the legislature in RSA 4:45 to destroy our economy.
If I were to describe Karen another way, simply read our State Constitution:
[Art.] 38. [Social Virtues Inculcated.] A frequent recurrence to the fundamental principles of the constitution, and a constant adherence to justice, moderation, temperance, industry, frugality, and all the social virtues, are indispensably necessary to preserve the blessings of liberty and good government; the people ought, therefore, to have a particular regard to all those principles in the choice of their officers and representatives, and they have a right to require of their lawgivers and magistrates, an exact and constant observance of them, in the formation and execution of the laws necessary for the good administration of government.

That is Karen Testerman to a tee. Not many politicians have the will to follow our State’s handbook.
Sadly, without explanation, Cornerstone failed to endorse their founder in her race for Governor of New Hampshire.
Cornerstone leadership has failed to stand on principle lest they offend Chris Sununu, the incumbent Governor.
They have chosen Power over Principle, turning Cornerstone into just another power-seeking group. Few will trust them when they don’t stand by their principles and throw their standard-bearer under the bus. That’s a losing strategy for any political policy group. Cornerstone ought to do an about-face and endorse Karen Testerman for Governor.
Was Challenger Karen Testerman’s Lawn Sign Deemed Non-Essential by the NHGOP or Was it the Governor?
As the story was relayed to me, the NHGOP told the Testerman campaign to remove the sign. There may have been something about fairness, though that remains unconfirmed. We can tell you that all the yard signs were taken down in the name of ‘something.’
As a result of this move, President Trump no longer has a sign outside the state Republican party office because someone, probably on Team Sununu, told the NHGOP – no Testerman sign.
Is that fair? Not at all, especially since you can still see Sununu for governor signs in every first-floor window. If this were about fairness, you’d see Testerman signs as well, and you do not. It has to be about something else.
Maybe they’ve been deemed non-essential by the Governor’s office?

Sununu signs his name to orders taking away our God-given rights; and is oblivious to the irony of the referenced “independence”. Governor Sununu is a despot. We are slaves. No longer do we live in a republic.
These authoritarian powers stem from RSA 4:45. It was the HRA that vehemently opposed the bill leading to this law (HB 1461, 2002). Warned by the words of Roger Sherman and others, we foresaw the dangers to our libertie imposed by this bill. Alas, the Legislature did not heed our plea.
